Photographing a Constantino's wedding in Clarks Summit, PA, is an absolute dream for anyone who loves lush, romantic celebrations and Nicole and Mentor’s special day was the definition of garden magic.
When Nicole first reached out to me about photographing her wedding, I immediately fell in love with her vision. She and Mentor are two incredibly kind, romantic souls who love traveling, hosting, listening to music, and being outdoors. Mentor works in the restaurant industry and Nicole works for a child advocacy center, and together they are just a joy to be around. Nicole was looking for a classic, effortless photography style to complement her whimsical summer garden vision, and I knew right away that we were going to be a perfect match.
Morning Details & Ethereal Style
The day started on a warm summer morning with a light rain falling, which actually creates the softest, most romantic light for detail shots! Nicole incorporated sentimental treasures passed down from her mother and grandmother, including a vintage clutch and her mother’s wedding perfume.
Her dress was pure ethereal fairy. Crafted from lightweight, semi-translucent chiffon, it had a floating A-line skirt and gorgeous floral appliqués cascading down the bodice. Mentor looked timeless in a classic black tuxedo. To bring her garden-fantasy vision to life, Nicole’s bridesmaids wore varying shades of navy, mauve, olive green, and light blue. The mix of tones against the lush venue grounds made for vibrant, editorial-style party photos!
During our initial timeline planning call, Nicole mentioned how much she wanted to actually enjoy her cocktail hour with guests. I suggested adding a First Look to the schedule so we could complete their couple, family, and bridal party portraits beforehand. She loved the idea! When the moment came for them to see each other before the ceremony, it completely melted away their pre-wedding nerves and allowed them to slow down and soak in the moment together.
A Romantic Ceremony & Emotional Surprises
Originally, Nicole and Mentor planned to host a backyard wedding, but they ultimately decided to hold both their ceremony and reception at Constantino's Catering. It ended up being the best choice, providing a seamless flow and a stunning, bloom-filled backdrop for their outdoor vows.
While the rain softened into a warm glow, Nicole and Mentor exchanged vows surrounded by their favorite people. A deeply touching highlight of the day was the beautiful blending of their backgrounds. Mentor is originally from Kosovo, and although most of his family couldn't travel to Pennsylvania, his brother made the journey from France to stand by his side. During the celebration, a surprise tribute video played featuring heartfelt messages from Mentor’s family back home an emotional moment that didn't leave a single dry eye in the room.
An Unforgettable Reception & Cultural Celebrations
After capturing joyful candid moments during cocktail hour thanks to that earlier First Look! Everyone headed inside for a night of incredible food and lively dancing. The decor was pure romance, complete with whimisical-themed signage and an adorable pair of mice serving as their cake topper on a sweet creation from Minooka Bakery.
The energy in the room soared as traditional Kosovar dancing filled the dance floor, bringing both families and friend groups together in pure celebration. The entire evening was expertly documented alongside the talented content creator/videographer Taylor at Madebytayjay. It was an unforgettable night.
