Planning a Poconos summer camp wedding is hands-down one of the most fun, laid-back ways to celebrate your love especially when you’re an adventurous, outdoorsy couple who just wants to hang out with their favorite people.  



When Rachel and Chase first reached out to me, I was thrilled. Rachel is a fellow wedding photographer, so having her ask me to document their reception meant the world to me. She knew she wanted my candid, documentary style to capture all the energy of their celebration. These two are the ultimate adventure pair: whether they're out hiking, enjoying the outdoors, or cuddling up with their cat, Piper, and their sweet golden retriever, George. While Rachel spends her days behind the lens, Chase works as a snow groomer, so an authentic, woodsy vibe was an absolute must.

An Adventure in the Tetons & a Celebration at Home


Rachel and Chase actually shared their intimate vows elsewhere. They chose to  elope out in Wyoming surrounded by the picturesque views of the Grand Tetons. But they knew they still wanted a warm, intentional place to celebrate with their extended family and friends back home in Pennsylvania. They chose Lake Owego Camp in Greeley, PA just a short drive from their house and it set the most incredible scene for a chill, woodsy Poconos summer camp wedding. Nestled in the trees along the water, the camp provided that effortless, nostalgic backdrop they were dreaming of.

Handcrafted Details & Thoughtful Touches



The feeling of the day was warm, sunny, and completely inviting. Since they had already eloped, there was no formal wedding party, which kept the whole afternoon wonderfully relaxed. Every single detail of the decor was lovingly designed and crafted by Rachel herself, giving the entire setup a personal, meaningful heart. Rachel looked breathtaking in a beaded mermaid-style gown, paired with a sentimental heirloom ring passed down from her grandmother. Chase suited up in a light brown suit with a neutral floral tie, pinned with a custom tie pin from Rachel that read, “I’ll love you forever.” My favorite detail of the day? The custom beer koozies! They were printed with western motifs and the phrase "How lucky are we" a theme that carried through the whole afternoon and perfectly summed up the gratitude and joy in the air.

An Extended Cocktail Hour & Golden Hour Magic


Because Rachel and Chase wanted their day to feel like an easygoing hangout, the heart of the reception was an extended outdoor cocktail hour. Seeing them effortlessly drift through the crowd, laughing, hugging, and catching up with every single guest, was easily the best part of the day. Even though they had already done a full photo session during their Teton elopement, I gave them a quick nudge during the reception: let’s take a few minutes for portraits here, too. We snuck away just as the sun began to dip through the pines. Stepping into that quiet, golden light gave them a peaceful moment together away from the crowd. It ended up being one of the best decisions of the night!
